The Competitiveness Of Vegetable Export Analysis In Yunnan Province

Yunnan province’s agricultural exports have been famous of flower export all over the world. However, in recent years, with the national policy which called "bridgehead" about Yunnan province was put forward and developed, vegetables exports has made considerable development in Yunnan province, especially in2014, Yunnan has developed into the third largest vegetable export province in China. It is such a delight thing for the rapid development of Yunnan’s vegetable export, but behind the development are also many problems. In the long run, if these problems can’t be settled effectively, they will become potential factors which may hurt Yunnan vegetable exports. In order to find out the deficiencies and problems of oneself, study of vegetables export competitiveness in Yunnan province must be made. We need to maintain advantages and deepen the leading position, while to make up for the disadvantages.This paper firstly use the data to analysis the current situation of vegetable exports in Yunnan, including the overall size and status in macro aspect, and the of product structure, market structure, the analysis of the trade way in micro aspects, and also comparative analysis among Hubei, Shandong, Yunnan. Then make competitiveness evaluation by using several indicators within the scope of the whole world and Yunnan province. Worldwide competitiveness evaluation is mainly relative to the world average level, and within the scope of the competitiveness evaluation of Yunnan province is mainly relative to other industry export trade in Yunnan province. Again based on Michael Porter’s "diamond model", I try to construct the request of vegetable export competitiveness of Yunnan province from six aspects and combining with the existing situation of Yunnan province to analyze the vegetable export competitiveness advantages and problems that exist in the development. Finally, in view of the previous data analysis, theory analysis of advantages and disadvantages, I put forward some advice about making good use of advantages and correction and making up for the shortage.After studying in Vegetable export competitiveness of Yunnan province, I find something useful. Yunnan province vegetables export has strong competitiveness in both domestic and worldwide, even for some big vegetables exports province. In addition, Yunnan vegetables exports also maintained a fast growth momentum in recent years. But rapid growth does not mean development of high quality. There is still a long way to go in the vegetable exports scale, industrialization, science and technology, talent and brand development.
