A Study On The Cultural Tourism Development Of Dapeng Ancient City In Shenzhen From The Perspective Of Tourists

Because of the prosperity of the modern tourism industry and the cultural quality that people keep improving, the tourists prefer a higher level of cultural tourism rather than a single Sightseeing Leisure Tourism. As a new kind of profound and attractive tourism, the cultural tourism is highly praised by the tourism enterprise, and has made a great contribution to the development of local third industry. Dapeng Ancient City,as the most representative one in Shenzhen, is a well preserved historical and cultural attractions. However, due to the confusion of developement management, the lack of cultural construction, and the imperfect of surrounding facilities, etc., making the scenic tourist quantity is relatively scarce, and the local economic income is also affected. As we all know, the amount of tourists is particularly important for the sustainable development of tourist attractions. Therefore, the article will take the advantage of cultural tourism resources, making a further study on the culture tourism development of Dapeng Ancient City in Shenzhen from the perspective of tourists. I do hope it can help the development of Dapeng Ancient City, and can provide the experience and reference for the development of Other cultural tourism attractions, and even can provide ideas for the sustainable development of the cultural tourism industry in Shenzhen. And it also has important practical significance in promoting international cultural exchange.First of all, through the collation of existing research results and the relevant theory, we have found the main factors affecting the development of the cultural tourism are the development and protection of tourism resources, tourism image building and communication, tourist behavior perception, and tourism circuit design.Secondly,through the comprehensive analysis of the Dapeng Ancient City’s Human geography, history, culture, and the value of tourism resources, we have found that the biggest advantage of Dapeng Ancient City is the abound historical and cultural tourism resources, especially the coastal military culture, which has an unique historical connotation and high cultural value.Thirdly, we have found that there are many problems in Dapeng Ancient City by analysising its tourism development, scenic spot, and the ticket income. Firstly, the management of Dapeng Ancient City is in a mess, and the property rights are unclear. Secondly, the facilities in the scenic are imperfect. Thirdly, the heritage repair is not enough, and military culture is not prominent. Then, the tourism image of Dapeng Ancient City is not distinct, and the tourism product has no characteristics. Last but not least, residents randomly reconstruct ancient dwellings, which has a bad effect on the overall design of tourist routes.Fourthly, after investigating 384 tourists from the perspective of tourists’ perception,we find that the problems existing in the tourism development of Dapeng Ancient City are the lack of facilities, no outstanding cultural characteristics, no enough cultural connotation, poor cultural experience, and the timid of cultural dissemination.Finally, according to the disadvantages of Dapeng Ancient City, we will put forward some strategies of cultural tourism development, such as optimizing the development and operation of scenic spots, digging deep cultural connotation, building brand image, improving the supporting facilities, offering characteristic souvenirs and optimizing the design of tourist routes...
