Research On Wine Industry Agglomeration In Gansu Province

Wine industry is known as "there points technology, seven points material".It means that wine industry depends in raw materials-the wine grapes, and the wine grape planting has a high requirement on the natural environment and climate. Grapes are perishable, not suitable for long-distance transportation, so the development of wine industry shows obvious agglomeration characteristics. So the worldwide wine planting, production, processing and regional agglomeration is very strong, In China, the wine industry is an emerging industry. It’s in the early stages of development in China. Since reforming and opening to the outside, Chinese wine industry also reflected the agglomeration development characteristics. Because of the favorable natural condition in Hexi corridor, the development of wine industry in Gansu province is gradually becoming the emerging force that cannot be ignored in the wine industry. Based on the wine industry in Gansu province as the research object, this paper focus on the development of the industry agglomeration, through using the method of normative analysis and empirical analysis, we analyses the wine industry agglomeration in Gansu province and its performance evaluation. According to the results, we sum up problems of the development, and put forward policy suggestions. This paper aims to provide reference for wine industry agglomeration in Gansu province.This paper is divided into five parts. The first chapter is introduction, mainly introduces the research background, significance and research situation at home and abroad, puts forward the emphases, difficulties and the insufficiency in the research. The third chapter is the development of the wine industry. Firstly, we introduce the development of wine industry at home and abroad, including the development course and status quo, as a reference. Then we describe the development situation of wine industry in Gansu province by using Porter’s "Diamond Model". The forth chapter is wine industry agglomeration measurement and evaluation. This part first uses AG geographic concentration index analyses the wine industry in Gansu province, found that the geographic concentration in Gansu province is relatively ideal; Then we use Industry Agglomeration Structure of Benefit Index, found that wine industrial structure has not been optimize in Gansu province, but the benefits of industrial structure is improving. At the same time, the wine industrial structure quality also needs to further improvement. It’s lack of influence in the whole manufacturing industry. The fifth chapter has carried on the summary on the previous analysis, puts forward the problems that exist in the wine industry agglomeration development in Gansu province, including grape planting scale is low, the brand effect is poor, not give full play to regional advantages and inadequate policy support. Using for reference of the Australian wine industry agglomeration production experience, this paper puts forward policy suggestions on the development of wine industry agglomeration in Gansu province, including the layout planning of wine industry, integrating resources and brand advantages, strengthen the scientific research investment and increase the government support.
