Refined oil is the country’s strategic products related to the vital national economic development and people’s livelihood. Long-term refined oil market will maintain rapid growth. With China’s refined oil market gradually opening up, the distribution in the selling steps has become a priority under the increasingly fierce market competition. Urban distribution locates in the forefront of refined oil distribution system in the oil supply chain, which most closely links with customers and greatly impacts the efficiency of distribution and the sales. Today, China’s refined oil distribution chain after years of development has been considerable optimized, but there are still a large gap compared with developed countries’. From the current situation to see, there is still much work to do. Therefore, the optimization study of refined oil distribution route not only has great theoretical value, but also makes sense from a practical point of view.In this paper, we systematically studied the optimization issues of the refined oil distribution route by combining specific circumstances for analysis. Considering the characteristics of the subdivision of distribution vehicles, we construct basic VPR model in view of the refined oil products isolation during the distribution process. After comprehensive comparison and analysis of the current domestic and foreign various common algorithms, based on suitability criteria, we employ the genetic algorithm in our model. Finally, taking the distribution route of an oil company in Harbin as an example, we selected some nodes to form a distribution network and verified the feasibility of genetic algorithm to solve the problem in our model. The results show that our optimized distribution route planning achieves the noticeable improvement on the aspects of delivery time, distribution costs, distribution distance. Therefore, this study has a strong theoretical and practical reference value.
