The Social Responsibility Of Road Transport Enterprise

With the continuous deepening of economic globalization and regional economic integration, persisting in the course of sustainable development becomes the inevitable choice of the China today. In terms of the enterprise, to achieve sustainable development, they must fulfill their social responsibility. In recent years, the issues of food/drug safety and construction quality, social security and environmental pollution etc. have occurred frequently. Thus, corporate social responsibility became the focus of people’s concern. As an important component of the national economy, road transport enterprises play a very important role in China’s economic and social development. However, the implement of social responsibility of the road transport enterprise in China is far from satisfying. Problems like frequent transport accidents, excessive resources consumption, serious exhaust emissions and noise pollution, and high incidence of occupational diseases not only seriously hinder the sustainable development, damage the harmony and stability of society, but also downgrade people’s happiness. Therefore, research needs to be conducted to find how to help road transport enterprises voluntarily fulfill their social responsibility.Having chosen the social responsibility of road transport corporate as research content, the present paper tries to specify what their social responsibilities are, and proposes scientific, rational and workable measures to revitalize the good implement of responsibility by road transportation enterprises.This will not only lay a solid foundation for the sustainable development of the enterprises, but can also create a good social environment and promote the building of a harmonious society. To be more specific, it will radically resolve a series of social problems caused by the absence of responsibility of the road transport enterprises, which in return can boost the economy, enhance social legalization, strengthen environmental protection, improve people’s living standards and eliminate social instability.This thesis is divided into five parts: the first part is the introduction which states the background and significance of this research, at the same time offers a literature review of related studies home and abroad; illustrating the basic theory. The second part gives a clear definition and a thorough discussion of the social responsibility of road transport enterprises. The third part is an analysis of the current situation and problems of the fulfillment of social responsibility of road transport enterprise in K city. The author taking the road transport enterprise as research object, firstly discusses its business scope, development, social responsibility, then analyzes the problems of the fulfillment of its social responsibility and explores the causes. The fourth part is about the countermeasure and suggestion. Based on the characteristics of government, road transport and social factors, practical countermeasure and suggestion are proposed. The last part is the conclusion and limitation, which sums up the whole research and clarifies the inadequacy of this research.
