Research Of Space Optimization Of Deveopment Zone Based On Industry And City Integration

Development zones are newly-emerged industrial space forms during the process of economic system reformation and opening up. After 30 years’ vigorous construction, they have become important impetus and major carriers to expand urban space, upgrade urban structures, and accelerate urban functional transformation. At present, our country remains in the transformation period of economic and social development. Development zones become the pioneer for urban transformation development and exert great influence on the restructuring and expansion of urban space. With progressing into the "secondary development" stage, our development zones show various problems. They display obvious transformation tendency towards new towns, but the space problems have become the bottleneck for their transformation and redevelopment.Firstly, this thesis takes the evolutions of mutual relationship between industries and functions of development zones as the basis to classify the development process into four stages, summarize characteristics and urban functional features in each stage of industrial development, analyze the space evolution characteristics in different stages of the relationship between industries and cities, and research the internal evolution mechanism of development zones by setting National Economic and Technological Development Zones, National High and New technological Industrial Development Zones and Provincial Development Zones as examples. This thesis considers space development of development zones is subject to mutual influence of self-organization and other-organization. The self-organization functions through the urban functional changes and industrial development. Other-organization functions through such external influencing factors as policies, urban planning, natural geographical conditions, location conditions and social environment in development of development zones. Development zones consistently put up with the mutual influence of self-organization and other-organization during their development process. The more mature the development is, the more obvious the self-organization promotion function of space development is. After development zones progress into mature stage, the influence of functions and industries become more and more obvious. Integrated development of industries and cities is the realistic demand for development zones to transform towards new towns in the future. Based on this, this thesis introduces the development implication of integrated development of industries and cities. It aims to construct integrated development goals of industries and cities through five dimensions as industry, innovation, culture, ecology and society, optimize the five functional spaces including industry, innovation, culture, ecology and social service through land mixture, function compound, environment integration and people-orientation, and hence realize integrated development of industries and cities. At last, this thesis introduces empirical research of Suzhou High Technological Zone and put forward optimizing strategies and space countermeasures for such six aspects as overall pattern, industrial space, innovation space, cultural space, ecological space and public service space by analyzing development stages, space evolution characteristics, internal mechanism and existing problems of the high technological zone as well as combining future functions of high technological zones with development trend of industries.
