Quantification Analysis On The Economic Driver Of Farmers’Planting Decisions In Regional Differences Of Planting Structure

Taking into account the adjustment of agricultural industrial system and planting structure need to follow the economic laws and give full play to regional comparative advantage on the basis of natural conditions.There was much capital,labour and land input in production of another crop diverted to rubber plantation in Xishuangbanna, which leads to the monocultures and is against risk prevention and biodiversity protection.Whether the single plantation rubber gives free rein to self regional comparative advantage? Whether farmers’planting decisions are rational or achieves the economic targets.This research explores the methods of efficiency evaluation through the opportunity cost and price forecasts,takes two Villager Groups in Xishuangbanna as the case analysis, employs the Data Envelopment Analysis by using the data investigated,calculates and compares the production efficiency of crop that before and after farmers’ planting decisions under three different perspective,such as computing the practical efficiency of the selected crop in2014,calculating the production efficiency of the selected crop by the opportunity cost in sight of decision-making,and the production efficiency of the farmers’ willingness with price forecasts. This research made a empirical analysis on the economic driver of farmers’ planting decisions,sees if the results of efficiency of crop planting matches the first economic target of farmers’ planting decisions and explains,investigates the different influence of factors on farmers’ planting decisions in different regions,and the reasons for differences were deep further study.The results shows that the farmers’ planting decisions of Manshangxiazhai Villager Group achieve their economic goals.but the decision-makings of Panzhihua Villager Group are not reasonable.The conclusion shows farmers’ planting decisions which tend to single rubber planting don’t give free rein to self regional comparative advantage.the production efficiency of the selected crop by the opportunity cost in sight of decision-making can’t explain the economic rationality of farmers’ planting decisions.high transaction costs which lead to deviation from the expected price of rubber makes some people can’t achieve their economic goals.the economic rationality differences of decision-making behavior among farmers in different regions is because of the different natural resource endowments, economic foundations, transaction costs, and government intervention.
