With the rapid development of social economy, personalized products market has been vigorously promoting. Because of the shorter life cycle of product, more complex structure, the independent R&D enterprises are taking a huge pressure from the reaction speed of market. This paper will first focus on the problem of R&D material timely supply which affects the R&D enterprises’Product development progress. Then this article will put forward a solution whicht is about warehouse management to solve the problem. The aim is to speed up the supply of the materials needed by R&D through the study of the optimal management of the warehouse. This study can play a role to shorten product development cycle, speed up the market reaction and improv the industry competitiveness of the R&D enterprises.The main of his paper is to improve the response speed of the material demand. This paper is based on company S’s material supply warehouse of product R&D which is the independent R&D enterprises pruducting large server.This paper will mainly focus on two management aspects of company S’s material supply warehouse of product R&D, including:(1) Optimize the slotting of the warehouse. First the paper adopts Activity Based Classification to classify the material taking the turnover rate and the value of material as principle to identify high turnover rate and high-value materials for appropriate policy of the location assignment What’s more, the paper applies WEKA data mining technology to analyze the record of borrowing material mining the association of borrowed material, combined with the material area, material weight, real goods allocation size and load-bearing situation and then existing stocks to give the lotting optimization programs and analysis the result of this optimization;(2) Optimize the borrowing and receiving process of material of the warehouse. This paper will use the method of program analysis that5W1H process diagnostic and the principle of ECRS to think the processes, give the optimization programs, determine the feasibility of the programs according to the present situation of company S and analysis the result of this optimization.Innovation of this paper mainly reflects on the following area.(1) On optimizing the location assignmen, this paper correlates the association analysis of data mining, Activity Based Classification on turnover rate and the value of material and other factors to optimize the slotting which can greatly shorten warehouse keeper’s time of choosing materials;(2) In warehouse management process optimization, the paper give a sample study applying the method of5W1H process diagnostic and the principle of ECRS;(3) On outlook of warehouse management of materials supply of product development, the paper innovatively put forward the establishment of the front warehouse which supply the product development material. And this optimization study of warehouse management will provide a powerful management reference for similar R&D enterprises and it help to find another breakthrough for enterprises to shorten the product development cycle.
