Research On China’s Urbanization Path From A Low-power Perspective

Currently, China’s urbanization is a kind of “high energy consumption, high emission, and high pollution”. In the structure of China’s energy consumption, the industry accounted for 70%, construction accounted for 2% and transport accounted for 10%. Industrial energy consumpt ion will be reduced with the economic and social development, construction and transportat ion energy consumpt ion is rigid. Since industry, transport and construction are the main plates of urbanizat ion, so the future energy securit y o f China will be affected by the mode of the urbanization. Meanwhile, our country energy resources have a feature of “richer coal, less gas and oil”, the imbalance between supply and demand of energy is more and more obvious, the climate and environment become much more adverse. Energy consumpt ion has beco me an important factor, which restrict s China’s economic growth and urbanization. Based on this, it is an important significance to promote t he healthy development o f urbanization and to improve energy securit y that improving energy efficiency and reducing the energy consumption in the process of the urbanizat ion, in the premise o f not affecting the urbanizat ion speed.This article is based on the researches concerning urbanizat ion path fro m a low-power Perspect ive at ho me and abroad. It is co mbined the theories, which are urbanization theory, the theory of economic growth and energy consumpt ion theory, with the research methods o f quant itat ive analysis and qualitat ive analysis and comparat ive analysis. At first, analysis the current status of the development o f urbanization and energy consumpt ion. And then probes into the mutual influence mechanism between urbanizat ion and energy consumpt ion. Fin ally, on the basis o f the empirical analysis of the path of urbanizat ion and energy consumption, put forward the specific path.Through research, the fo llowing conclusions can be drawn: economic growth and second industry have a posit ive effect on urbaniza tion and energy consumption, with lower level of influence on the former; the third industry has a positive impact on the urbanization and a negative impact on energy consumpt ion; technology has positive effects on the urbanizat ion and energy consumption, the influence degree of the former is larger; the present “energy-saving emission reduction” policy did not reduce the level of energy consumpt ion. But by upgrading the industrial structure, changing the mode of economic growth; pro mot ing the capital repla cement, strengthening technological innovat ion; optimizing the energy consumption structure, improving energy utilization efficiency; advocating low carbon life concept, improving the policy support system, can reduce energy consumpt ion while pro mot ing urb anizat ion speed, as the path of urbanization development of China’s low energy options. In short, low-power path of China ’s urbanizat ion should be a technical innovat ion path, which is based on eco-industrial chain as the carrier.
