Study Of Biomass Power Generation Fuel Supply Chain Management

Biomass is the world’s fourth largest energy except for the coal, oil and gas.China is also rapidly developing biomass power.However,due to the lack of fuel supply, a lot of biomass power plants in our country are at loss and even bankruptcy.There are lots of reasons causing this phenomenon,while,maybe the main reason is that the biomass fuel price is too high leading to fuel shortage.That is to say,from the perspective of the supply chain management,biomass supply chain management has a lot of problems in both the theory and practice.Firstly,this paper introduces the theory of supply chain and supply chain management.Then we introduce the fact that the biomass power generation fuel supply chain in our country has been formed and begun to take shape.Secondly,we respectively analyze the main problems of biomass fuels that exist in the supply chain from five aspects,biomass power generation enterprises,other straw users, farmers,government and the entire supply chain.Exactly because there are many problems about biomass fuel supply chain,we should more strengthen the supply chain management.Among the many solutions,the establishment of strategic alliances in the supply chain of biomass fuel is a better management model.This paper establishes two kinds of alliance model.The first one is raw material supplier A+raw material supplier B,and the second is raw material supplier A+biomass power generation enterprise A.All in all,both the two means can make biomass power generation enterprise gain alliance benefits,reducing the purchase price of straw directly or indirectly.At last,we summarize the policy recommendations which can ensure the biomass power generation fuel supply chain strategic alliances conduct smoothly.Taking the commonalities and differences between the two kinds of strategic alliances into account,therefore, the proposed policy recommendations should include the same and the different.Biomass power has enormous potential for development,it has great significance to do the management of biomass fuel supply chain generation enterprises.Due to space limitations,in this paper there are some deficiencies which will continue to be improved in the subsequent study.
