Along with the global economic integration, Marine industry attracts great attention, and has become a new growth point of the economic development of all countries. Meanwhile, as china made much progress and economy has been greatly developed, the government and party pay much attention to the national employment. For many time, party and state leaders pointed out that employment is a major concern, and it related to long-term development and should be put as a top priority. The development of Marine industry creates a large number of jobs thus a group of people who are engaged in Marine industry. There is no denying the fact that the arrival of the ocean century makes Marine employment has become an important part of the labor force in our country. But for a long time, we have done few reach in employment situation related to marine industry there are rarely papers in this regard. In order to better understand and grasp the status of China’s Marine employment, adapt to the era of ocean development background, and alleviate the increasing social employment pressure, to provide more jobs for workers, promote economic and social development of the coastal area and even the whole country.This study from 2001-2012 published by the state oceanic administration of the Marine statistical data, this paper selected Marine employment related data, from the perspective of social change, the reform and opening-up of our country’s Marine employment basic situation, has analyzed our country Marine employment change in quantity and quality distribution rule, the study found that China’s Marine employment number continues to grow, improving continuously the quality of Marine talents, but also there are areas of Marine employment distribution imbalance, economic development level and the distribution of Marine talents were positively correlated. Finally this article puts forward the problems existing in the development Suggestions.
