In recent years, the scale of project construction is constantly expanding and its construction speed is accelerating with the economic development of our country,which conferring increased risk. In view of the above-mentioned facts, the demands on engineering project management only gets more pressing so that the research on engineering project risk management has practical significance.This paper introduces related research status and research methods of risk management at home and abroad. After that,this paper mainly illustrates the meaning,content and characteristics of risk and risk management of project according to the theory of risk management. Under the guidance of the theory of risk management, this paper puts forward that risk identification should be built, risk analysis and assessment system should be established and risk prevention and system coped with risk management should be developed. Then this paper sums up all the possible risk factors in construction project.Based on the analysis of running environment of Yantai CBD building project,this paper comes to the conclusions that CBD building has window effect to Yantai and practical significance of diversified functional features. According to general situation of Yantai CBD building in high-tech zone engineering project,this paper describes risk identification of location, the scale of the project and the time limitations,project construction units, background of the project.Then this paper concludes that this project is faced with the risk of management, quality and safety and environmental.This paper takes all kinds of risks for specific analysis of the project and the management risks are divided into human resources management risk, project management risk and financial management risk.The quality and safety risks are divided into technical risk, construction risk and security risk. The environment risks are divided into natural risk, policy risk and economic risk.This paper uses the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to measure the influence degree of risk factors in engineering project target in order to calculate the risk factorproportion coefficients.From these coefficients,we can learn that quality and safety risk is the highest in the first-level indicators,which is followed by management risk and environmental risk.Among quality and safety risks, the greatest proportion is security risk which is followed by technical and construction risk.Among risk management factors,this paper arranges them from highest to lowest according to their proportions that they are human resources management, financial risk management and project management risk.The highest natural risk is environmental risk,which is followed by political risk and economic risk.On basis of the quantitative analysis method for the engineering project,the risk coefficient is 0.338 which indicates the corresponding risk degree is intermediate and this paper comes to the conclusion that the risk is controllable.And then coping methods for these risks from the perspective of the nine risk will be come up.In the last part of this research,the relevant suggestions on engineering project risk managements are scheduled to put forward.Through the research of risk management for Yantai CBD building project and large comprehensive construction engineering projects, this paper suggests that construction engineering project participants raise the awareness in risk management and put forward some coping strategies in order to strengthen the construction project risk prevention.It has certain practical value to reduce the risk of loss and improve the risk management level of construction project participants.
