Natural gas as a clean energy plays an important role in the national economic system. Yet still some problems exist, such as unbalanced use in different regions, low utilization ratio and irrational consumption structure. Under the backdrop of uncompleted marketization of natural gas industry, the marketing strategy & planning of natural gas companies is the only way to realize the optimal configuration of natural gas resource, which could further the sound development of national and regional economy and the coordinated development of the natural gas industry.Firstly, the article reviewed the development history of marketing strategies abroad, and then did an in-depth analysis on the internal and external situation confronted by company A to draw a SWOT comprehensive analysis conclusion. On this base, the natural gas market strategy & planning of company A are established.The main conclusions and achievements of the study are as follows:Firstly,company A has more advantages than disadvantages. Therefore it can promote sound development by overcoming unfavorable conditions. Secondly,the development strategy & planning of the company A are of reality and operability. Project analysis and regional analysis are employed in the article to plan the market-wide natural gas utilization projects and consumption, which were evaluated according to the established evaluation index system of target markets. Thirdly, the marketing strategies proposed by company A are reasonable. Most of the marketing strategies stated in the article have been applied in the enterprise developmental practice. Continued follow-up evaluation of market risks has also been carried out, which greatly guided the marketing business of the company. Fourthly, the regional market guided by planning realized the optimal allocation of resources and reasonable layouts of the natural gas utilization projects, promoted the coordination among the up, middle and down streams of natural gas industry and made great contribution to the regional economic development.The innovations of the article lie in:Firstly, the marketing strategies of natural gas, evaluation index system and model of target markets of company A are proposed.Secondly, the marketing strategy system of natural gas for company A is established.In this article, a set of methodology system in formulating marketing strategy & planning for natural gas companies is established by employing theoretical knowledge of economics and management, and tools, such as SWOT, statistical analysis, comparative analysis, and index evaluation, which provides references to similar enterprises.
