Analysis The Relationship Of Viet Nam Economic Growth And Viet Nam-China Energy Trade

Energy consumption constantly is one of main influences on the economic growth. The relationship between them directly effect of GDP growth. Now because of the demand of the energy consumption increase, Viet Nam began to import energy from neighboring countries. So the article studied two aspect, includes the relationship of Viet Nam economic growth and energy consumption; the relationship of Viet Nam economic growth and Viet Nam-China energy trade.This paper analyzes the situation of Viet Nam economic growth and energy consumption during 1990-2013. Using energy consumption elasticity coefficient and energy intensity to reveal that the relationship of them. This also applies a linear regression model, multiple linear regression model to analyze the relationship between Viet Nam’s economy growth and energy consumption and the relationship between Viet Nam’s economy growth and energy consumption of several industries. The result reveals that Viet Nam’s economy growth and energy consumption have significant relationship and the relationship between Viet Nam’s economy growth and energy consumption’s several industries are apparent.The paper also conducts the prediction of energy trade between Vietnam and China during short time (2014-2016) and long time (2020,2025,2030) by using multiple linear regression model. The final concludes that the exportation of crude oil from China to Vietnam will reduce in short and long time, and the amount exportation of coal from Vietnam to China will increase in short and long time. In addition, the importation of refined oil from China to Viet Nam will increase in short time. However, it will reduce in a long time, electricity will rise in short time and long time. But 2016-2020 electricity will reduce rapidly.
