Today our society is experiencing a New Internet Era, Which is based on the big date, Cloud Computing, Mobile Internet, Social Networking and so on. The New Internet Era takes opportunities, but also to some of the Traditional IT Companies a threat. IBM, one of the World’s Top IT companies, is also facing the impact of the new Internet Revolution. At the same time, the performance of IBM’s 10 consecutive quarters of decline since 2013, that makes IBM to reconsider its business strategy. This paper is based on this background, in-depth study on how to implement a new round of IBM enterprise strategic transformation.Based on the features of the New Internet Era, use the theory of corporate strategic transformation for this study, through the analysis of the challenges of IBM, proposed the necessity of corporate strategic transformation. On this basis, with the help of strategic analysis of common SWOT tools, take the advantages of IBM in the new Internet era background, weaknesses, opportunities and threats are analyzed, and then made clear the strategic positioning of IBM. Finally, according to this position, we discussed the implementation of the IBM strategic transformation program and specific strategies.Analysis shows that under the background of the New Internet Era, IBM’s strategic transformation is the trend, and should take WO strategy as a breakthrough. Because the original advantage has been gradually weakened, and environmental threats can’t be changed. However, if IBM means of existing infrastructure, strengths and future innovation, it is possible to make existing disadvantage into advantage. If we can adapt to the changing times, the company is expected to achieve the new strategic transformation. Specifically, IBM should be a comprehensive strategic transformation to value chain integration service providers and ecosystem remodeling. In the process of strategic transformation, IBM should follow the basic principles of the four aspects, and focus on solving the business transformation of the enterprise, customer choice, improve the new revenue to deal with competitors and other key issues. This strategic transformation can be implemented in three different stages and steps, such as strategic planning, strategic adjustment and comprehensive transformation, and the corresponding strategies and measures should be taken to ensure the success of the IBM strategic transformation. In short, this paper has direct implications for the planning and implementation guide IBM strategic transformation of the strategic transformation of industries and enterprises, and also have some reference value.
