The Twelfth Five-Year Plan pushes forward that the layout of the agricultural products processing industry should be guide in a scientific way: to distribute the processing industry into the main producing areas of the agriculture products and to encourage the development of the competitive agricultural products. Under the current background, the national policy guidance and support does not promote the rapid development of feed industry, and feed industry output value has been declined year after year, what is the factor lead to such situation? The paper finds that separation phenomenon between origins and processing is serious, from the perspective of contrasting corn grain with the geographical distribution of feed processing industry cluster, and the reason why feed industry is stagnant is that the location layout is not reasonable. However, these will be the study focus of this article whether there are any other factors that influence the location of feed processing industry cluster. This paper tries to do the research on the coordination of spatial distributions between the feed processing industry and the corn industrial belt on the basis of the location theory and the new economic geography theory. While knowing the situation of the main maize area and the feed market demand, it sets its core theoretical modal on the transactional efficiency, trying to figure out the balanced spatial distribution of the feed processing industry under the circumstances of equal utility and market clearing, also, to prove that the optimal spatial distribution of the feed processing industry is determined by all the factors, namely, the transaction cost, the market demand and the main maize area. Further more, it hopes to construct the balanced econometric modal when the efficiency of both producers and consumers of the maize area, the feed processing industry and the demand market of the feed processing industry reaches the maximum. And then, to work out the optimal location for the feed processing industrial cluster. At last, it adopts the expansion modal of the Cobb-Douglas production function to make an empirical analysis, arriving at the conclusion that the labor cost, the transportation efficiency, the market demand as well as the raw material production are significant factors which affect the layout of the feed processing industry. This thesis hopes to make contributions to the site selection of the agricultural products processing industry, to improve the economic environment of the feed processing industry and then helps to promote the formation of industrial clusters in the central and western China, which is meaningful to the advance the regional economic development in a balanced way.
