Sustainable development is a good pursuit of human society development model, which includes sustainable economic development and social sustainable development, ecological sustainability.arable land is the basis for people’s survival and sustainable development of arable land has a fundamental role, which is the basis of sustainable economic and social development. For a long time, the human pursuit of rapid economic development, at the over-exploitation of arable land, resulting in sharp drop in the number of arable land, lower quality, so that our food security and social sustainable development has been a serious challenge. Discussion on sustainable development of farmland not only better protect arable land resources, but also provides a good supportfor economic development and social stability.Thispaperinvestigates farmland in Gaoling country,under the guidance of PSR theoretical framework, using an improved quantitative analysis of ecological footprint model for ecologicalsustainable state of farmland and gray correlation analysis to study the pressure of sustainable state changes, and on this basis, proposes measures to maintain the sustainable development of cultivated land. It provides a new idea for ecologicalsustainable development of farmland in Gaoling country, to other areas in China have some reference and guidance, but also for the protection of farmland opened up a new path.Studies show that:(1) Gaoling cropland ecologicalsustainable state year by year, in 2005, weak sustainability of arable land, in 2013, cultivated land in a weak unsustainable.(2) the impact ofecological sustainable state Gaoling pressure factors were arable land arable land, grain acreage, population, number of fertilizer use, urbanization rate, per capita GDP, the secondary industry output value, GDP.(3) In the protection of arable land, we should pay attention to agriculture and the impact of factors that socio-economic factors, focusing on positive measures taken to protect arable land from the population, the number and quality of arable land, to maintain the sustainable development of cultivated land.
