Study On The Problems And Situations Of "Bachelor" Old Men’s Old-age Security In The Rural Areas Of Poor Areas In China

In order to protect the right to life of vulnerable groups in rural areas, our government establish the five-guarantee system in rural areas in China. And in the rural areas of poor areas in our country, some old people who never get married due to various reasons, named as the "bachelor" old men in this paper, can’t rely on family when old because of no children and no spouse, and are unable to work to earn income,so they need to rely on the rural five-guarantee system to spend their twilight years. In order to understand the present situation of the old-age security they enjoy, this article selects five provinces such as Ningxia as research objects depending on per capita GDP, the proportion of poverty-stricken counties accounting for county-level units and the proportion of the people who enjoy the rural minimum living guarantee accounting for the rural population, and analyzes from three aspects of economic support, life care and spiritual solace based on the data from the websites of National Bureau of Statistics and the Ministry of Civil Affairs. And this article finds that the "bachelor" old men in poor regions has some problems in old-age security, such as low treatment of old-age security and so on, analyzes the cause of these problems, and puts forward to solutions of the old-age security problems of the "bachelor" old men in the rural poverty areas by referring to the old-age security model and experience in foreign countries.
