Research On Evolution Of Rural Development Types And Their Rurality In Xuzhou City

From the perspective of urban and rural system, rural development which has received much attention from scholars plays a vital role in growth of city and regional economic. The researches on rural development are lack of basic content as well as specific planning guidance and regulation for a long time. Therefore, the classification regulation of rural development which has a very important significance is the prerequisite to explore rural transformation and new urban construction.This paper takes 114 towns in Xuzhou city as empirical units under the support of National Natural Science Foundation of China, Ministry of education, humanities and Social Science Fund, and determinate rural distribution characteristics and the town domain correlation by using methods such as RI and spatial autocorrelation, at the same time, the evolution process of rurality are gotten deeply discussed; classify the rural development types of city by analyzing its industrial structure and the level of development, and then discusses the spatial distribution and evolution process with GIS space analysis method; the characteristics and evolution of the village of rural development in different area types are also analyzed. At last, according to the different types of rural regional, the paper puts forward the optimization measures of rural regions on different types for the new rural construction.The results show as follows: first, the quantity and spatial evolution of rural development types show the obvious regularity. Agriculture-dominated rural development type performs stable in quantity, but the development level is gradually increasing; industry- dominated rural development type changes little on distribution and the evolution speed is relatively slow; distribution of rural development type focusing on business, tourism and providing services has a greatly diffusion in the central area of Xuzhou; most comprehensive rural development type belongs to a relatively low level of economic development region. Second, in the view of spatialand temporal evolution, the space agglomeration of rurality is gradually weakened,the high value zone is characterized by spatial evolution and obvious transition while the low value zone presents "polarization" pattern in Xuzhou. Third, in the terms of rurality evolution in different type regions, the quantity of agriculture-dominated rural development type with a weak rurality is increasing and a strong rurality is decreasing;the evolutional process of industry- dominated rural development type is not very clear; the quantity of rural development type focusing on business, tourism and providing services with a weak rurality is increasing and a strong rurality remains unchanged. The quantity of comprehensive rural development type is reduced and gradually developed into the other three types. Fourth, based on the status and characteristic of each area type, the paper proposes the corresponding measures in order to regulate and control rural development.
