In this rapid changing economy and high competition era, it is obvious that human resource managementof any organization plays more of its roles and has more responsibility including changes in top management as a part of human resource management strategy. Meanwhile, the Internet has become a key factor that influences on human resource member staff development and practice leading to different human resource management roles, such as corporate strategic partner role, administrative expert role, Employee champion role, and change agent role. Therefore, it emerges the following questions: how these different roles influence on effectiveness of human resource management; and how uncertainty of environment, effectiveness of human resource management, and different human resource management roles are related.Several previous studies have already discussed on the role of human resource management and affirmed its importance in human resource practice. Besides, it has been proved that the effectiveness of human resource management related to an achievement of organizations. However, the study on different roles of human resource, human resource management effectiveness and uncertainty of environment are still very scarce.In this study, literature is reviewed based on previous researches where the role human resource management are divided into four different roles includes corporate strategic partner role, administrative expert role, Employee champion role, and change agent role. Regarding uncertainty of environment, it is divided into complexity, dynamics and competitiveaspects. Thus, the model illustrating the relationship of three variables is created. The model assumes the role of human resources management influences on effectiveness of human resources management moderated by uncertainty of environment.A quantitative research through questionnaire survey was conducted in Bangkok, Thailand. From the distribution of 450 questionnaires, 412 copies were returned and 396 copies were valid. Participants are human resource managers and those managers who deal with human resource management which works in eight different business sectors includes manufacturing industry, real estate/construction, consumer goods, financial services, agriculture/food, resources, services and technology. By this method, the data obtained would be able to represent the whole Thailand’s human resource management situation. The data was analyzed by SPSS version 21.0.The study found that work experience, job, firm size and sector of industry have a significant impact on the effectiveness of human resource management. Uncertainty of environmental impacts negatively on the the relationship between role of human resource management and human resource management effectiveness. Nevertheless, one of the uncertain environment, competitive environment impactspositively onthe relationship between employee champion role and effectiveness of human resource.
