The Urban Construction And Development Research For Gegu Town Of Tianjin City

With the continuous improvement of urbanization, the importance of small-town development is especially prominent. Small-town is the bridge between urban and rural area. Combined with the development experience of urbanization in developed countries, they focused on small-towns development at the initial stage, and came into overall urbanization by means of rural urbanization. In recent years, the government promotes the small-town development by continuous introduction of new measures. Policy background like "Balanced urban- rural ", "New-type urbanization " and market-oriented economic provides an important opportunity for small-town development..Gegu, one of 30 center towns in Tianjin, is the only town located in New Binhai district. Gegu town has been approved as the second batch of small-town since 2007, and it has undertaken two stages of model town construction. Gegu has the experience of small-town construction for 7 years, and has been named the "national small towns pilot town ", " comprehensive Binhai New district reform demonstration town ", " Tianjin historical and cultural town ", " Tianjin first economic town ", and so on. According to the "12th Five-year Development Program", Gegu will further promote urbanization, and complete its historical mission of new era.This article aims to analyze the development patterns and characteristics of Gegu town, and then find a right way to further develop urbanization, which can also provide a reference for the development of other similar towns.At first, it summarizes the urbanization process of domestic and foreign countries, and presents the general theory and basic laws of urbanization. On this basis,it discusses the geography, history, cultural characteristics and development stage of Gegu town. The fourth chapter analyzes the strategic environment and development model of Gegu urbanization development, and summarizes the motivating factors and barriers during its process of urbanization. At last, this article proposes appropriate measures to solve problems in the process of urbanization development.
