Investigation On Satisfaction Degree Of Landless Farmers In Life In The Course Of Urbanization In Guizhou Province

With the rapid social and economic development in Guizhou Province,the rapid industrialization and urbanization has generated more needs on land. Enclosure movement within the whole province has turned much agricultural land into non-agricultural land, and released a large number of landless farmers. It is estimated conventionally that about 520,000 farmers lost their land as a result of enclosure movement in Guizhou from2009 to 2013. As the special group generated in the process of urbanization,the landless farmers are restrained by the traditional thoughts and their own human capital and confronted with inadaptability and difficulty in production & life when turned from rural residents into urban citizens.It has directly reduced their life satisfaction and caused the unharmonious problems in the society, which deviates from China’s general background to built a harmonious society currently. Thus, it is necessary to settle the life problems and the promote the life satisfaction really for farmers whose land has been expropriated.Starting from the life satisfaction, this paper has analyzed empirically the life satisfaction of landless farmers in Zunyi City with the self-made Landless farmers Life Satisfaction Questionnaire. During the field research, an overall understanding of their life satisfaction has been got by measuring their general life satisfaction and their satisfaction in 8 different life fields. By sorting and studying theoriginal materials and data collected, it has been discovered that he landless farmers don’t have a high general life satisfaction presently,have the low satisfaction in job, family income and relocation that are fields really related to their survival need, but the favorable satisfaction in child education, interpersonal relationship and living environment. Meanwhile, by evaluating the life satisfaction in the 8different life fields, deep reasons for their low life satisfaction have been analyzed qualitatively. Finally, targeted at the reasons found,countermeasures to improve their life satisfaction have been discussed in a bid to contribute ideas in settlement of their problems by the government.
