| Industrial innovation is the engine of city’s life in the era of knowledge economy, an important pattern of current regional innovation development, and the future development direction of many cities. Based on the traditional advantages of the city, speeding up the adjustment of industrial structure in Guangzhou by industrial innovation plays an important role in the enhance ment of the city’s brand value & comprehensive competitiveness as well as the promotion of the urban development pattern transformation. How will Guangzhou Government promote the city’s industrial innovation, optimize the system environment of industrial innovation and come up with industrial innovation supporting policies in practice has become an important issue posed before the government and the academic. It is also the aim of this paper.This paper made an analysis on the related theory of industrial innovation, from the concept of industrial innovation, the industrial innovation system theory, industrial innovation policy to the relation of the government and industrial innovation. The article reviewed the present research on domestic and foreign industrial innovation theory, used the successful experience of industrial innovation in domestic and international city for reference, analyzed the present situation and the existing main problems of Guangzhou’s industrial system, and put forward the countermeasures to promote industrial innovation in Guangzhou, according to the industrial innovation theory as well as personal observation & consideration. The paper drew a conclusion that government plays a very important role in Guangzhou’s industrial innovation, and Guangzhou Government should put forward the adjustment measures and various direct or indirect support policies to guarantee the system environment of industrial innovation, improve the coordination mechanism and the functional layout of city, enhance the industrial agglomeration effect, strengthen the protection of intellectual property rights, and to attract high-end talents, promote the technical cooperation of enterprise, university and laboratory, accelerate the development of high-tech industries with independent intellectual property rights, create high quality culture and creative products, cultivate local cultural and creative brand, build high-end service industry, transform the traditional manufacturing industry, promote the integration of information technology industry and other industries, to speed up the process of city’s industrial innovation, to ensure the coordinated development of industrial innovation with the city’s ecological system & social environment, let the goal of industrial innovation be in accord with the direction of the city’s transformation, so as to promote the sustainable development of Guangzhou’s industrial economy and Guangzhou city’s structure upgrading, expand external radiation radius of Guangzhou’s urban culture, promote the international position and influence of Guangzhou, ultimately, create Guangzhou as a brand new regional central city.Combined with the requirements of current national policy and personal observation & consideration, based on the theory of industrial innovation and the statistical data, used the typical successful experience of industr ial innovation in domestic and international city for reference, through literature analysis, comparative analysis, theoretical and empirical analysis, the author gave an in-depth analysis of current situation of the industrial system in Guangzhou and the main problems that Guangzhou has to face if industrial innovation implemented. The article put forward various scientific and reasonable countermeasures for Guangzhou’s industrial innovation which have certain reference significance to the future path of industrial innovation in the cities whose position is similar to Guangzhou. |
