Since the reform and opening up, with the adjustment of agricultural production relations, agricultural products market and agricultural scientific and continuous improvement of technological level. The production capacity of agricultural products in our country has been greatly improved, the number of agricultural product is gradually increasing. After the problem of food and clothing, awareness of nutrition and health is also growing. It can also be seen from the central "document" on the quality and safety management of agricultural products, that the leaders of party and state pay more and more attention to the quality and safety of agricultural products. However, the overall improvement of the quality and safety of vegetables in our country is slow, and the problem of harmful residues in vegetables still exists, and the phenomenon of poisoning events and the export of vegetables still occurs. To carry out the research on the quality and safety of vegetables in Weifang city, with the current international and domestic situation, it is the objective needs of agriculture, rural economy development to the present stage, but also to promote the agricultural structure adjustment, improve the competitiveness of vegetable products, and increase farmers’ income.In the paper, by investigation and analysis of the causes of the problem of vegetable quality and safety in Weifang City, the author found the main factors, explored the effective measures to control the quality and safety of vegetables and the application,management of the product in the process of vegetable production,aiming to promote the safe product, hoist quality,and enhance the market competitiveness.Based on field survey of the production, operation, use and management of vegetable in Weifang city, the author put forward that the main problem that affect the quality and safety of vegetables in Weifang city is the unreasonable use of pesticides, chemical fertilizers, and unsound quality management of vegetable products. By using the advanced experience of domestic and international vegetable quality and safety management, the author puts forward the development of vegetable supply safety control technology, and a good job of the technical training of vegetable safety production, strengthen the propaganda and guidance, and promote the quality and safety of real estate.
