Engineering projects are the management objects for Construction Company, and also where most of the company’s benefit comes from. The level of project management has a direct influence on the developing quality of an enterprise. With the pattern of economic development of this new century, the continuous expanding of large-scale construction companies and the surge of project quantity result in flattening and difficulty of project management. The uneven level of traditional extensive and empirical project management mode highlights the loss of benefit and uncontrollable problems of safety, quality and duration. What’s worse, the rapid expanding in scale, working as catalyst, evidently exposed multi-management problems and potential dangers. Therefore, China’s large-scale construction companies are urgent to adopt standardization management ways to regulate project management behaviors to guarantee project management comprehensively controlled and provide solid management foundation for development bottleneck breaking. During the process of bringing in project standardization management to the project management of large-scale construction company, based on the ways of implementing project standardization management, to meet the need of project’s "high standard" to realize the project overall goals, management system, site management, examination assessment and information standardization management, will be the rewarding attempt for numerous large-scale construction companies who want to promote their multi-project standardization management.Based on how some China’s typical large-scale construction company proceeds and executes project standardization management, this research systematically analyzes the applicability, validity, implementing principle, propulsion method and executive result of large-scale construction company carrying out project standardization management adhere to the principle of combining theory with practice. This study first systematically traces documents related to project standardization management research at home and abroad, and expound and define the core concepts and connotation of standardization, project and project standardization management to discuss its main characteristic, propulsion course and practical significance. Secondly, this research concludes and extracts the current project management situation and problems based upon CSCEC81. Thirdly, project standardization management system frame and general plan of CSCEC81 will be exploited on account of system analysis and PDCA circulation theory and project standardization management system operational mechanism will be designed in accordance with five modules, i.e., project overall goals, management system, site, examination assessment and information standardization management. Finally, detailed analysis and summarization will be carried out on the foundation of operational effects of the practice of project standardization management system in CSCEC81 to further verify its applicability and validity.In conclusion, combined theory with practice, this study excavates the project standardization management theory and provides instructional and policy suggestions for the execution of project standardization management of large-scale construction companies.
