Research Of The Large Scale Construction Project Management Maturity Model

Today, Maturity Model is a research hotspot and foreland task in the project management field, but the research of construction project management maturity model is in the germination stage, less especially in the large scale construction project (LSCP).Studying the LSCP in the dissertation, based on assimilating and absorbing Organizational Project Management Maturity Model (OPM3), combining the characters of the LSCP and owner project management level in our country, adopting the standard research and demonstration research to construct the Large Scale Construction Project Management Maturity Model (LSCPM3).Firstly, according to the definition and characters of program and program management, defining and classifying the LSCP and LSCPM, analyzing the characters of the LSCPM.Secondly, through studying the inner configuration and mechanism of OPM3, analyzing the merit and disadvantage, summarizing the constructing rule of project management maturity model. Applying the OPM3 in the LSCP for demonstration research, analyzing the problem that we apply directly the OPM3 into the LSCP and the status of organization project management, which is the basis of constructing the LSCPM3.Lastly, on basis of the upward research, guided by the project management knowledge system and connecting construction project management theory with program management standards to construct the LSCPM3 and evaluation index system, establishing the Best practices and Questions of project management. Studying the LSCPM under the maturity model and providing project management theory guidance management standards and tools for organization.
