As a complete category and highly correlated industry, equipment manufacture plays a pivotal role in the region’s prosperity and development. At the same time, the industry development has a direct impact on adjustment and optimization of industrial internal upgrading of regional economic structure. Compared to the developed countries, the development of equipment manufacturing industry is also an extreme manifestation of regional competitiveness. To revitalize the equipment manufacturing and shorten the gap between our country and developed countries to prepare the manufacturing level, it has the need to upgrade the technical level of technology and optimize the structure of technology. Under the background of technical level high depending on technical structure, it has a strong practical significance to study the rationalization of the technical structure of the equipment manufacturing industry.This paper aims at the equipment manufacturing technical structure, treating the equipment manufacturing enterprises as the research object, using Entropy method and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation and doing the research on the equipment manufacturing technical structure rationalization. Firstly, this paper clarifies the equipment manufacturing and its technical characteristics, technical structure, technical structure rationalization and theory of science and technology innovation and also provides mathematical theoretical framework, like Entropy method and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation. This part provides the theoretical foundation for the thesis. Secondly, based on the theory the analysis of current equipment manufacturing industry situation is carried out, which makes a clear understanding of the characteristics and problems. And then through the analysis of the evaluation object of the technical structure of the equipment manufacturing industry and the design of the evaluation process, the factors that affect the technical structure of the equipment manufacturing industry are found out. Then, through the analysis of the factors, the thesis creates an appropriate index system. At the same time, the Entropy method and fuzzy comprehensive method are used to establish a equipment manufacturing industry technical structure rationalization model. And then, according to the different evaluation, several suggestions are put forward to improve the technical structure of equipment manufacturing industry from the aspects mentioned above.Finally, it selects the equipment manufacturing industries of Liaoning Province as the research object, using the relevant data from 2006-2014 of Liaoning Statistical Yearbook, from the industry key technology, labor input intensity, capital investment intensity, R&D input intensity, the output of the number of growth capacity, the output quality of growth, industry internal environment, industry external environment for eight aspects, and then the results are calculated through the technical structure rationalization model before and several suggestions are put forward to improve the equipment manufacturing industries of Liaoning Province.At present, the research on the equipment manufacturing technical structure rationalization is less. Therefore, this article can target to the equipment manufacturing industry in China and put forward a set of strong-applied evaluation models and response measures, which can provide the reference for improving the rationalization of equipment manufacturing technology level.
