| In the process of rapid development of rural tourism, and the involvement and awareness of community residents are important for the healthy development of rural tourism. It plays an important role for the healthy development of rural tourism to define the intrinsic relationship between the environmental impact perception of community residents on the rural tourism and ecological environmental protection. But scholars’ research on the environmental impact perception of the development of the rural tourism is mainly based on the tourists’ points of view and it lacks the exploration of the intrinsic relationship between the environmental impact perception and the development of rural tourism in the view of community residentsThis study chooses eight rural houses and the community residents lived in the communities which the eight rural houses belong to as the object of the study. They are Changsha County Longtoujing Farmhouse,Wufu Mountain Villa, Sakura Thermal Spring Mountain Villa, Yayuan Vocational Village, Changsha Songya Lake Ecological Farmhouse,Changsha Shanyingtan Vocational Village, Daming Mountain Villa,Majutang Reservoir. The research explores the community residents’ environmental impact perception on the development of rural tourism in the viewpoint of community residents(indigenous inhabitants) andstudies the degree of the community residents’ environmental impact perception on the development of rural tourism and the difference of the community residents’ environmental impact perception among the residents who are in the different state of personal involvements with the environmental impact of perceived scale as a tool.The results of empirical study show that: First, the residents’ personal basic properties are different so that they have significant difference in the environmental impact perceptions on the rural tourism.Second, the residents’ personal involvement states are disparate,but they don’t have significant difference in the environmental impact perceptions on the rural tourism Based on the results of the empirical study, the paper gives the following suggestions on enhancing the residents’ environmental impact perception and the degree of participation in the rural tourism. Firstly, to carry out the cognitive education and cultivate good developmental environment of the rural tourism according to the different environmental impact perception of various residents. Secondly,to enhance the residents’ awareness of the rural tourism and the importance of the environment impact,especially the awareness level of the administration and implementation. Thirdly, to increase the macro-control of the government in order to carry out more effective management. Fourthly,to strengthen dissemination to the residents and practitioners and training them, and enhance their cognitionto the rural tourism and the degree of environmental awareness. fifthly,to promote the cognition of the environmental impact’s importance of practitioners and non-practitioners, enhance education on the duty of environmental conservation and transform it to specific environmental protection action.lastly, to establish the activity center for the old non-practitioner, which is contributed by the community, and enrich their leisure-time life in order to relieve their averse mood to the side effect brought by the development of the rural tourism.This study combines organically domestic and foreign scholars’ viewpoints on the residents’ environmental perception and the development of the rural tourism. It researches the environmental impact perception of the affected residents in the process of the rural tourism development from a new perspective. On the one hand, it expands the theoretical scope and perspectives on the study of residents’ environmental impact perception in the theory and enriches the existing research results; On the other hand, it enhances the public awareness of environmental impact through rational residents’ participation so as to provide practical guidance for enhancing the strength of environmental protection. |
