The Research On The Effects Of The Logistics Capabilities Of The Third-party Logistics Enterprises On Enterprise Performance

At present, the competition between enterprises is more the competition of core ability, in order to gather the limited resources to cultivating core competence, many manufacturers and retailers outsource their own original logistics business to the professional logistics service company, and as a result a large number of professional third-party logistics enterprises have appeared. As the core competence of the third-party logistics enterprise, logistics capability is the most important assets. Some scholars believe that the third party logistics enterprise’s logistics capability has a positive impact on business performance, other scholars believe that there are mediating variables between them, but they don’t conduct the empirical analysis on the problem. The third party logistics enterprise belongs to service industry, the customers pay most attention to its service quality. Therefore, on the basis of previous research, takes the customer perceived service quality as a mediator, this paper research on the influence of the third party logistics enterprise’s logistics capabilities on firm performance, so as to help the third party logistics enterprises find a way to improve its performance.Firstly, I refer to a large number of research literature on the logistics capacity, service quality and performance, construct conceptual models on the third party logistics enterprise’s logistics capacity, service quality and business performance,and bring forward relevant assumptions. Combined with the research question, the paper has carried on the scale design to relevant variables.In addition, based on the third-party logistics company of Shanxi Province as statistical respondents, the paper uses the method of questionnaire survey to collect data in the preliminary research and formal research stages. In the formal research stage, valid data is carried out descriptive statistics analysis, reliability analysis, validity analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis by using SPSS17.0, the purpose is to validate relevant assumptions.Research results show that the third party logistics enterprise’s logistics capability has a significant positive impact on business performance, logistics capability have a significant positive impact on quality of service, service quality has a significant positive impact on business performance, and service quality plays a role of intermediary between logistics capabilities and business performance, finally the paper confirmed the initial assumption.Through introduced service quality as intermediary variable,the paper has opened the "black box" of effect mechanism between the third party logistics enterprise’s logistics capacity and enterprise performance, makes the third party logistics enterprise aware the importance of service quality. Guiding the third party logistics enterprises should not only focus on logistics capability, should also pay attention to the service quality that customers perceived,thus the paper pointed out the direction of upgrading corporate performance and keeping competition advantage for the third party logistics enterprise.
