Research On Modes Of Small And Medium-sized Technology-based Enterpaises’ Technological Innovation

As an important part of the SMEs, Small and Medium-sized Technology-based Enterprises (SMTEs) are the important carrier of technological innovation activities and the foundation for the rapid development of strategic emerging industries, which have an important role to improve the regional and national economic strength and promote the industrial restructuring. With the accelerating speed of the globalization of the knowledge-based economy, grasp the core technology through technological innovation is the only way to obtain the sustainable competitiveness for SMTEs. Due to their own characteristics and external environment, SMTEs face enormous challenges in the implementation of technological innovation. Measures need to be taken from the internal and external to solve the problems encountered in the process of innovation in order to ensure continued innovation activities.Firstly, the author has defined the concept of the SMTEs and realized the characteristics of subjects through searching a large number of books and literatures. By drawing on the results of previous studies, we carried out a more detailed description of the theory of the concept of technological innovation, the relationship between the SMTEs and technological innovation and the modes of technological innovation. Secondly, the article describes and compares the different categories of technological innovation modes. By analyzing the internal and external factors affecting the SMTEs select innovation modes and introducing advanced national experiences, this paper analyzes the SMTEs to select modes of technology innovation systematically. Thirdly, from the perspective of traditional industries and strategic emerging industries, the similarities and differences of SMTEs’ technological innovation in two different industries are compared to help the SMTEs choose more reasonable innovation mode. Forthly, in order to provide empirical experiences, this article discusses the case of YGE and analyzes its technological innovation activities in the process of development,. Finally, on this basis, the article puts forward specific countermeasures to promote technological innovation for SMTEs on the perspective of system theory.
