Study On The Cooperation Of The Silk Road Economic Zone And The Eurasian Economic Union

Economic union is a more advanced stage of regional economic integration,which is on the basis of the common market,to gradually abolish the differences in economic policy between the Member States and develop and implement some of the common monetary policy and fiscal policy,the necessary stage to the full economic integration.Eurasian Economic Union is a regional integration organizations that is established by Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan in the Customs Union of the Eurasian common market.In the May 29, 2014,Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan has signed the "Eurasian Economic Union Treaty" and officially launched in January 1, 2015.In January 2,2015 Armenia officially joined the Eurasian Economic Union, and Kyrgyzstan joined in August 12 th.Eurasian Economic Union is a unified market which includes five Member States, an area of over 20 million square kilometers and a population over 170 million, and that total GDP is about $ 3 trillion. "Eurasian Economic Union Treaty" is to define the objectives and principles of the union, identifying all members of the League in the field of foreign trade, tariff and non-tariff barriers, macroeconomic policy, monetary and financial policies,industry and agriculture policies the principles,objectives and measures.Silk Road Economic Zone is an important strategic concept of the new era of China’s opening that proposed by the President Xi Jinping in September 2013.Eurasian Economic Union is the key node in the Silk Road economic belt,and the construction of the Silk Road Economic Zone will have an impact on the development of the Eurasian Economic Union.promoting docking Silk Road economic belt and the Eurasian Economic Union is China and Eurasian Economic Union leaders`consensus.This paper analyzes the background, history and causes, and development problems of the Eurasian Economic Union,and discusses the mutual influence between the Silk Road Economic Zone and the Eurasian Economic Union, and puts forward some suggestions on how to connect and cooperate with each other.
