The Cooperation Between The Silk Road Economic Belt And The Eurasian Economic Union:Obstacles,Countermeasures

The Silk Road Economic Belt(SREB)and the Eurasian Economic Union(EEU)have been put forward one after another,which makes the cooperation ways of them become a heated topic for discussion in C hina and the EEU.O n May 8,2015,the leaders of China and Russia signed a joint declaration “on cooperation in coordinating the development of the Eurasian Economic Union Project and the Silk Road Economic Belt”.This declaration marked the beginning of the docking of SREB and EEU.The docking of the SREB and the EEU is in the interests of both China and all the members of the EEU,because it will boost the economic development and be benefit to the bilateral relations.Nevertheless,it will inevitably be affected by some obstacles.For example,different perceptions,China's influence,economic and trade differences,security problem and Intervention by extraterritorial States.To overcome these challenges,all the members of the EEU and China should work together in the fields of economy,politics,trade,security and so on.In this thesis,First,I analyzed the concepts,the backgrounds,the partners,the goals and the cooperation modes of the SREB and the EEU on the basis of the regional economic cooperation theory.Then,I discussed the current progresses and challenges in the process of cooperation.Finally,I put forward some corresponding measures to solve these problems so that the docking of the SREB and the EEU can be more effective.I hope this thesis can provide some enlightenment for the cooperation between China and other countries under the background of “One Belt,One Road”.
