A Study Of The Feasibility Of The Cooperation Between The Silk Road Economic Belt And The Eurasian Economic Union

In September 2013,Chinese President Xi Jinping made a speech at the University of Nazarbayev in Kazakhstan.In speech President Xi Jinping proposed the initiative to build the Silk Road economic belt,which has aroused widespread responses and attentions at home and abroad,especially in the core areas of the Silk Road economic belt——Russia and Central Asia.On January 1,2015,Eurasian Economic Union,located in this region,officially launched.The international organization has an important influence in the region,is committed to integrating the former Soviet Union and promoting the Eurasian integration.In May 2015,Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow issued the Joint Declaration about the Silk Road economic belt and the Eurasian Economic Union.Both sides stated in the Joint Declaration that "The two sides will work together to promote the cooperation between the construction of the Silk Road economic belt and the construction of the Eurasian Economic Union,to ensure the sustained and stable growth of the regional economy,to strengthen the regional economic integration and to safeguard regional peace and development".Under the background of the imminent cooperation of the Silk Road economic belt and the Eurasian Economic Union,the most important concern is to look for the interest coherence point between the two strategies,explore the most reasonable and feasible ways of cooperation,and avoid the possibly arising problems.This paper first demonstrates the Eurasian continent,especially the Central Asian region,has an important international strategic position,to lay the foundation for the later analysis of the reasons and ways of the two strategies' cooperation.Then,this paper discusses the similarities and differences between the Silk Road economic belt and the Eurasian Economic Union from the perspectives of background,strategic goals,scope and path of implementation.On this basis,we use historical analysis and systematic analysis tomake a deep analysis of the sufficient cooperation power and factors between the two strategies.And the cooperation between the two strategies can bring new opportunities for China,Russia and Central Asian countries.However,through further research and analysis found that the cooperation of the two strategies can not always like smooth sailing.Due to mutual trust,different strategic needs of countries and internal problems of Eurasian Economic Union,in the actual docking process there will be more obstacles.Only to face up to the obstructions,early to avoid possible problems,and find the right solutions,which can promote as soon as possible to promote and carry out the cooperation.At the end of this paper,the writer puts forward four feasible cooperation methods,forecasts the problems that need attention in the cooperation process of the two strategies,and makes recommendations for carrying forward the cooperation.
