A Study Of Industry-university-research Cooperation Model In View Of Business Growing

The nation takes agriculture as the primary task, and the agriculture puts the seed first. The seed industry is already advanced to country strategy altitude when The Views of Development of Modern Crop Seed Industry is published in 2011. The domestic seed industry is paid high attention and gradually developing follow the market reform of seed industry. The benefits attract strong concern of all industries capital and multinational corporation of seed industry. The domestic seed enterprise is deep influenced by the multinational corporation of seed industry. Because the multinational corporation make a strong penetration by all kinds of ways and they also have advanced research technology and mature "Breeding, reproduction and pushing integration" model. Facing the invasion of the multinational seed industry, the domestic seed industry must abandon the traditional breeding mode, and proceed the commercial breeding. The domestic seed industry should makes a combination of enterprises、universities and research institutions, establishing a new industry-university-research cooperation mode which takes the enterprises as the main part, to be market-oriented and takes the capital as the ties. In this new mode, they share the benefit and risk together. The study of industry-university-research cooperation and it’s mode can help to have a better cooperation and give the enterprise and research institutes a good reference function. This study also can help Chinese seed industry enhance the competitiveness, protect the domestic seed companies and food security.The main conclusions of this thesis are as follows:(1) Introduction. Introducing the research background、research meaning、literature review、 research contents、logical frame、research method、data sources and so on of this thesis. (2) The general situation of the industry-university-research cooperation in Sichuan province. Firstly, this these has introduced the development course of seed industry in Sichuan province. Teasing the history of development of seed industry by time series in Sichuan province, then making a descriptive analysis to the current situation of seed industry by collecting data in Sichuan province. Secondly, this thesis introduces the general situation of seed industry university-industry cooperation in Sichuan province. Introducing the early university-industry cooperation by analysis of time series, then discussing the industry-university-research cooperation which is the deep university-industry cooperation by questionnaire survey. (3) The pattern analysis of the industry-university-research cooperation in Sichuan province. Through the investigate and survey we can know, there are 5 industry-university-research cooperation modes which are outright purchase new product、consigned research and development、the task agreement、common construct the research and development group and common construct the creative platform in Sichuan province. This part analyzes the factor mobility regularity and characteristic, then introduces the constraint and problems of this 5 modes. (4) The pattern analysis of the seed industry industry-university-research cooperation in domestic and overseas. Introducing the industry-university-research cooperation mode in domestic and overseas, then have some cases which are Zhong Yan company and Xian Zhengda company analysis. (5) The countermeasure and suggestion of strengthen the industry-university-research cooperation.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:(1) The seed industry industry-university-research cooperation has a well-developed.87% of the companies have carried out the industry-university-research cooperation by the research.93.8% of the informant think the nearly 5 years’ industry-university-research cooperation have a good quality. Only 6.2% of the informant think the cooperation’s quality is poor in the recent 5 years. 91.7% of companies hope to carry out the industry-university-research cooperation in the next 3 years. (2) The type of factor flow is different of different modes. The factor mobility of common construct creative platform is the most comprehensive fully. The corporate market、capital、talents、 technological factors proceed the bidirectional flow with the research and development institution’s talents、technology、capital and genetic resources, then making the total factor collaborative innovation. (3) The reasonable profit-sharing arrangement and risk sharing arrangement is the valid safeguard of the industry-university-research cooperation. The benefit distribution method and risk sharing method is different in the different mode. Both sides should appoint the benefit and risk of each side in the process of the industry-university-research cooperation. Ensuring justice and equity of the industry-university-research cooperation. (4) There are some elements which restrict the industry-university-research cooperation in Sichuan province. They are the single financing channels, the element of both sides cannot circulating effective, the interest allocation mechanism of cooperation achievement is not perfect, the risk sharing mechanism is imperfection, the information、communication and incentive mechanism is faultiness and the seed system and mechanism is faultiness.In summary, this thesis makes some suggestions as follow. (1) Establishing the strategic alliances of industry-university-research cooperation; (2) Improving the policy environment; (3) Completing the benefit distribution and risk sharing system; (4) Completing the information、communication、incentive mechanism; (5) Establishing multi-channel and multi-layered capital investment mechanism.
