Research On Integration Development Models Of Agriculture And Tourism In Chengdu

With acceleration of life rhythm, the pressure of life becomes higher, the living space becomes smaller, adding the deterioration of urban environment, people eager to return to nature to relax. As the disposable income and leisure time increases, people’s travel demand is released. The lagging of the paid vacation system limits the scope of people traveling. Of beautiful environment, convenient transportation, modern rural communities become new tourist destinations. Agricultural tourism arises at the historic moment.Agricultural tourism is a marginal industry as a result of agriculture and tourism developing from industry boundary to industry convergence. Agriculture provides resource and tourism provides services. Under the push factors and pull factors, they achieve the optimal allocation of resources, promote the transformation and upgrading of industrial structure through the complementary advantages, functional extension, and form a variety of new products, new formats, expand the market space. Agriculture’s and tourism’s foundation position in the national economy, reflect the importance and the complexity of the development process of convergence. This article attempts to clarify the theory basis of agriculture and tourism integration from the perspective of industry convergence, explore its development models and model choices.The text is divided into seven parts:the first part introduces the research background, research methods and literature review; the second part is definition and relevant theories; the third part is the fundamental analysis of agriculture and tourism convergence, including three aspects:the basic fusion, the fusion process and the fusion effect; the fourth part introduces agriculture and tourism integration development situation of Chengdu; the fifth part, based on the field survey data, summarizes and compares statically the typical development models of agricultural tourism in Chengdu from the perspective of tourism product, development based and operating entities to demonstrate advantages and disadvantages of various development models. Combining with the stages of agricultural tourism in Chengdu, this part also compares them dynamically to demonstrate their evolution tendency and evolutionary path; according to the adaptability, dynamic and sustainable principle, combined with the influence factors of development pattern choice, the sixth part constructs the framework of agriculture tourism development model choice; the seventh part is conclusion and suggestions.In this paper, the research conclusion is that agriculture tourism in Chengdu mainly has three development models. Agricultural tourism destination should select the appropriate one, according to local agricultural tourism development condition and stages. Suburban areas of rich resource should choose community+farmers or community+farmers+company model, paying attention to scientific planning and service quality improvement. Suburban areas of general or scarce resource should choose farmers+company or community+farmers+ company model, paying attention to cultivate the core tourism resources. Outer suburban areas of rich resource should choose government+farmers or government+community+ farmers, paying attention to build infrastructure and improve the community environment. Outer suburbs areas of scarce resource should not conduct agricultural tourism activities temporarily. In the development of agricultural tourism, government should play a leading role, guiding the community, farmers and tourism enterprises actively to conduct cooperation, regulating and supervising their business behavior.
