As one of the effective ways to stimulate the enterprise vitality, intrapreneurship has become very popular at home and abroad.At the same time, many in-depth studies have been arised in the word. At the present stage, lots of intrapreneurships have occurred in our country, but many of them are unsuccessful. Therefore, research on the intrapreneurship failure is full of both theoretical and practical significance.Based on the W intrapreneurship of H Tourism Group and the recall of the incubator period, this paper utilizes the case study method and ethnography method to do the research on the failure of W intrapreneurship of H Tourism Group. Through the basis of many interviews of W intrapreneurs. this paper does the research to study the reasons for the failure of W intrapreneurship.In this paper, the main findings are as follows:First, the internal opportunities are more important than the external ones. The leaders’ideas and the erroneous judgement of the company are the precursive reasons; Second, there are many factors to lead the intrapreneurship go to failure, including the lack of internal funds, the uneven synergy, lack of technology innovation, lack of external channel selection, and so on; Third, the employer attitude of intrapreneurs, lack of training for newcomers, and the team conflict can be the team factors of intrapreneurship failure; etc.Through the theoretical and case analysis, this paper describes the whole intrapreneurship process, reveal the reasons for the failure of entrepreneurship, fill the theory research gap of tourism enterprise intrapreneurship failure to some extent. Based on the intrapreneurship case which is the author’s own start-ups, this paper hopes to provide reference for the later intrapreneurs, and produces certain guiding effects on more large-scale tourism groups in establishing and perfecting their own internal management mechanism.
