The Research On Shanxi Featured Agriculture

Shanxi is not the major province planting staple food in China, but it is good at producing featured agricultural manufacture. Located in the east of Loess Plateau, there are more than 80% land is mountainous region, which lead to its imbalance between food supply and food demand. Owing to its appropriate natural environment, Shanxi is extraordinarily suitable for featured agriculture. Nowadays, it is increasingly booming of developing minor grain crops,’dry and fresh fruit, vegetable, animal husbandry, Chinese medicinal herb and production of hybrid seeds. Not only are these industries famous for its high quality, but also they can supplement the shortage of food in Shanxi province to some degree, which is of vital significance to its economy.Based on investigation about the vantage of Shanxi featured agriculture, this thesis adopts some research methods, such as document analysis, qualitative analysis, quantitative analysis and summary. First of all, the thesis tells us the current developments about China and Shanxi agriculture. Moreover, it comes up with the approach of supplying Shanxi food shortage by expanding its featured agriculture. In addition, it discusses the current situation, existing problems and relevant measures in detail.
