Astudyon The Mechanismof Entrepreneurial Learningand New Venture Performance

How to achieve a high business performance has been the subject of both entrepreneurship researchers and business elite.As well as a source and processing approach of knowledge and information, entrepreneurial learning is seen as a important means for new ventures to gain a competitive advantage and enhance new venture performance.Following the logic that “entrepreneurial learning influence business model innovation, and then, new venture performance”,based on the perspective of entrepreneurial learning,this paper proposes a theoretical model of the relationship between the three factors.And this paper consider the contextual factors environment by putting the environmental dynamism into the analytical framework. Empirical studies have examined the the impact of entrepreneurial learning and business model innovation to new venture performence and the regulation of environmental dynamics to the relationship between business model innovation and new venture performance.Based on the theoretical analysis, this paper developed the scale which is suitable for Chinese ventures through drawing on related successful scales and then collected 208 valid questionnaires by questionnaires for Anhui, Zhejiang and other places.After that,using SPSS19.0 to carry out sample data analysis and hypothesis testing, and several key conclusions are following: entrepreneurial learning and two learning methods will improve the new venture performance; business model innovation play some part of mediator to the effect relationship of entrepreneurial learning and it’s dimension on the new venture performance; business model innovation will enhance the new venture performance, and the environmental dynamism play a negative regulatory role in this effect relationship.The significance of this paper lies in: Firstly,this paper refine the previous research on the entrepreneurial learning and business model innovation by analyzing the effects of different ways of entrepreneurial learning to business modelinnovation;Secondly,this paper enriched the research through exploring the mediating role of business model innovation in entrepreneurial learning and new venture performance;Thirdly,we considered the situational factors on the effct relationship between business mmodel innovation and new venture performance,analyzing the specific role of the environmental dynamism;Finally,we made a number of enlightenment to the new ventures management practice based on the research findings.
