As the founding of new China, Liaoning Province was once known as "the equipment manufacture department of the domestic economy" in promoting the socialist economic construction and promotion and occupying a pivotal position during social development and im provement process.All alo ng, the equipm ent manufacturing industry as a traditional advantage in dustry in Liaoning Prov ince, its ind ustry foundation is abu ndant, the industry system is complete. At present, Liaoning Province has formed a complete categories, large-scale industrial system, and all kinds of s upporting facilities,which has a great influence and strong capacity of com petitiveness, particularly in the fiel d of manufacturing all kinds of heavy industry, Liaoning m anufacturing products has strong streng th in the m arket. Recently because of the lack of financ ial support from of ficial governemnt, financing channels Co., facilities imperfect, industry concentration is low, can not achieve inner and outer economies of scale, coupled with a decline in the innovation capacity of science and technology, resulting in production efficiency is low, single product structure, product homogenization serious, Liaoning equipment manufacturing industry competitive advantage is gradually lost, in various provinces and cities nationwide competition is gradua lly giving is lo cated in suc h as J iangsu and oth er coastal provinces.This paper has sorted out and summ arized the later research achievem ents on the analys is and evaluation of the industrial co mpetitiveness. On the basis of data, this paper elabor ately account the development situation of the equipment manufacturing industry, and through using the SWOT analysis method,from four aspect of the strong points, weakness, opportunities and challenges of the overall industry to give specifi c statement. In the fo urth chapter, aiming at analysizing Liaoning equipment manufacturing industry, the use of factor analysis method and Econometrics SPSS model is used to construct the evaluation index system and relative method. This paper selects 30 provinces and cities(exc luding Tibet) equipment manufacturing industry for 10 years of indicators data an alysis, clearly show the com petitive capacity of Liaoning equipment manufacturing industry in ten years. Through the com parative analysis, the goal is to judge the overall development perspects of this industry in L iaoning, to find out the main stong points and the gap between the in dustries. At the s ame time, from the selection of a clear advantage of the industry, as the proposed prio rity development and focus on the industry. For the more backward industries, from improving the level of innovation and development "Internet plus equipment manufacturing", giving priority to the industrie s which has great influence by improving of government functions and other aspects, proposes some suggestions for improving competitiveness level of the industry of Liaoning province.
