Procurement Management Research About M Power Plant Based On Overseas EPC General Contracting Mode

In recent years, the EPC project general contracting mode is becoming the main way of international engineering contracting. The general contracting mode overcomes the disadvantages of the separation of design, procurement, construction and avoids mutual shuffle between each subcontractor during the construction process, but in this mode the contractor assumes more responsibility for the relatively,and need to look for the probability of improve the efficiency of management in each link, to ensure project objectives and tasks agreed upon. Procurement procedures,as the most important part of EPC project management coordination, cost control, quality control, progress control, plays a central role in the construction of projects. In this paper, the writer deeply investigates the purchasing management in overseas EPC general contracting mode and takes the Malaysia M power station contracted by the T company as an example for analysis, found the problem and gives the corresponding solutions.First of all, the writer describes the background of the study and expounds the significance of overseas EPC project procurement management research. This paper makes a literature review for the development of EPC general contracting mode at home and abroad and the evolution of the engineering project material purchasing management. Then the writer describes the article research method and technical route in detail.Secondly, this paper introduces the definition and characteristics of EPC general contracting mode、process of purchasing management and summarizes the characteristics of EPC general contracting project procurement management.Finally, the writer takes the T company’s M power station in Malaysia as an example. The paper introduces the project background, through the deeply analysis of M power station project procurement management, supplier management, contract management and transportation management, the writer points out the material purchasing problems of M power plant project and puts forward the corresponding improvement strategies for this problem, providing reference for T company’s other overseas power plant project.
