Research On The Coordinated Development Of Tourism And Urbanization In China

Since Reform and Opening up, China’s tourism and urbanization have achieved rapid development, and the development of them is not isolated, but contacted and mutual influenced. To strengthen the study of Coordinated development of China’s tourism and urbanization, helps the correct understanding of their interaction relationship, and has a very important significance to the sustainable and healthy development of them. However, at present studies about coordinated development of tourism and urbanization are relatively few and previous studies took the municipal unit as the basic research object, so that the research conclusions have not been universal. On the other hand existing researches focused on measuring the Coordinated development level of China’s tourism and urbanization, and analyses on the Space-time Characteristics of the coordinated development are insufficient, which is not conducive to understand the two sides’ dynamic grasp of the coordinated development, lacking of influencing factors empirical analysis on coordinated development of tourism and urbanization. Therefore, based on the panel data of 31 provinces in mainland China, this paper analyzes the coordinated development of tourism and urbanization in China by using the method of variable coefficient, coupling coordination model, Arcgis hot spot analysis and grey correlation analysis and analyzes the spatial and temporal characteristics of the coordinated development of tourism and urbanization, and the influence factors of the coordinated development between tourism and urbanization. Finally, the paper puts forward some suggestions on promoting the coordinated development of tourism and urbanization. The research contents are as follows:The first part is the introduction. This part contains the background of the study, the relevant summary of the research, the theoretical significance and the practical significance, research ideas and the innovation of the research.The second part is the relevant theories and the definition of important concepts. Theories of the research mainly include the urbanization’s S type curve, the System theory and the theory of the Synergetic theory, and defines the concept of tourism and urbanization.The third part is the current situation and an evaluation model of coordinated development between tourism and urbanization in China. Firstly, this part introduces the development status of tourism and urbanization in China from the perspective of tourism resources, tourism support and tourism economy, population urbanization, space urbanization, economic urbanization and social urbanization.Secondly, This part introduces the construction process of the multi index evaluation system of the level of tourism development and urbanization development and introduces the specific sources of indicator data.Finally, the methods of research are explained and illustrated..The fourth part is the empirical analysis of the coordinated development of regional tourism and urbanization in China. Firstly, by using the method of variation coefficient and coupling coordination degree model, the level of tourism development and urbanization development from 2004 to 2013 is studied and the cluster analysis was carried out. Secondly, on the basis of the measurement of the coordinated development of tourism and urbanization, the time characteristics of the coordinated development between tourism and urbanization are analyzed from two aspects of the trend and fluctuation. Thirdly, the spatial characteristics are analyzed through Arcgis hot spot analysis. Finally, the influence factors of coordinated development between tourism and urbanization are analyzed based on the impact of the various subsystems of tourism and urbanization.The fifth part is the conclusion, the suggestion and the future prospect. This part summarizes the full text from three aspects, and puts forward some suggestions from the perspective of the driving force of coordinated development and the impact of the various subsystems on the coordinated development. At last, some problems and shortcomings of this paper are put forward, and the future needs to be further improved.
