The Influence Of Ecology-Friendly Industrialization On Coordinated Development Of Urbanization And Eco Environment

Urbanization has earned widespread attention. However, the increasing level of urbanization is accompanied by various kinds of ecological environment problems, which are getting more and more significant, one of which is to achieve ideal equilibrium between urbanization and eco-environment. Recently, ecology-friendly industrialization, which seems to be a good way to deal with it, has been proposed. Now, what matters are whether ecology-friendly industrialization can keep on urbanization while alleviate the side-effect on environment simultaneously, and how effective it will be.Here, I take the Yangtze River Region as the study object. Firstly, measure systems of urbanization and eco-environment are established, then I use Coordinated Development Level Model to measure some meaningful indictors like Coordinated Degree and Coordinated Development Degree of targets. And next I use Indicator System Method to measure Ecologically Industrial Efficiency to reflect the current ecology-friendly level. Besides, I apply statistical analysis on the panel data to reveal the influence of ecology-friendly industrialization on CDD. Then I split the EIE into two sub-measures:Ecological Efficiency and Resource Efficiency, and do further study respectively. I come to some results:one is that the CD and CDD of target provinces and cities are increasing but there are distinguished gaps among them. Secondly, the influence from Urbanization on CDD is inverted "U" shaped. Thirdly, the improvement of ecology-friendly industrialization will greatly hoist CD, so it seems to be able to optimize the development mode to reach coordinated development. Lastly, eco-efficiency and resource efficiency is positive correlated to coordination development, in which the former has more notable effect and the latter has time-delay feature. In summary, actions should be taken to improve the EIE. By this research, I will give some feasible advices, from regime, market, technology and consciousness, to enhance the level of ecology-friendly industrialization.
