Muya Tibetan live in Lvqu River basin and eastern basin in midstream of Yalong River in Ganzi. The polygenic culture and special geographical conditions preserve abundant culture patterns. Recently, the population of tourism makes Muya Tibetan participate in the group of tourism development consciously. In communication and collision with outside culture, the economy, culture, environment, etc have changed dramatically.This paper studies from anthropology and tourism, according to the field investigation data of Muya Tibetan, combining with Han and Tibetan historical data and results of other researchers, tries to explore the methods and influences of Muya Tibetan community’s participation in tourism.The paper includes five parts. The first part "introduction" briefly introduces its significance, theories, methods, field site, etc. The second part is summarize of the tourism resources and development history of Muya, giving priority to cultural and historical data, focuses on its geographical environment, natural and humanistic resources and its tourism development history. The third part is the methods and process of western Yulong community’s participation in tourism. Giving priority to field investigation data, by means of discussing the ways of local residents and related governmental organizations’participation in tourism, further analyses the features and influence factors of western Yulong community’s participation in tourism. The fourth part is the effects on western Yulong brought by community’s participation in tourism, through the investigation on living methods, values, language capacities and so on. The fifth part is epilogue, reviewing the methods, features and effects of western Yulong community’s participation in tourism, and brings up as far as the tourism development history of the whole Muya area, in order to provide’other’image for other Tibetan regions and the whole regions inhabited, highlight the relationship between community development and tourism development, realize organic combination of outside culture and local traditional knowledge, to the protection of troditional culture and the sustainable development of tourism.
