Since the German sociologist Ferdinand Tenness proposed the concept of "community" in 1887,the academic community has conducted more theoretical research on the community and its derived concepts.Especially in the late 20 th century,"community participation" and "community empowerment" came into being during the development of national village tourism. The concept of "community" was used in the development of tourism for several decades,There has been a great deal of research on the development of tourism in ethnic areas with "community involvement." However, most of them focus on the discussions on local tourism policies, tourists' perceptions,multi-stakeholders and other tourism economic phenomena and issues.Ethnic villages evolved from a natural village into a tourism community.Their development is dynamic, and the participating elements are diverse. In the development cycle of tourism destinations, within the village, space distribution, personnel composition, production methods, lifestyles, and personal identities are bound to change dramatically. The cultural identity formed by the host based on traditional geopolitical and ethnic cultures is also blurred with the development of tourism activities.Community tourism in ethnic villages is a continuous and dynamic development process, the cultural identity born by the host based on traditional farming culture will also change with other economic interactions. The Qianhu Miao Village in Xijiang,Guizhou Province is a typical mountain ethnic village in the southwestern region of China. It has developed rapidly in the past ten years, and the ethnic minority communities, which are mainly based on the tourism economy, have now basically taken shape.Topography has become a tourist resource while also limiting the balanced development of host residents. This research is based on the status quo of aboriginal people in the development of community tourism in ethnic villages.Trying to explore the issue of the change of cultural identity caused by subjective and objective factors that ethnic minority villages will face when developing community tourism from the perspectives of community participation, community empowerment, cultural transplantation, and cultural identity.Analyze the root causes of the volitional change of the concept of aboriginal democracy, and explore the new direction of cultural identity in the development of community tourism through case studies. This study is divided into eight sections. In the first part, combine related concepts and analyze the theoretical basis used in the research. The second part,A description of the field spots, sorting out the development history of Xijia Miao Village. The third part,Analyze the status quo of the host community's cultural identity under community participation.Fourth part,Discuss the relationship between community empowerment and cultural identity of the host. The fifth part, analyze the causes of the anomie in the community. The sixth part, comparing and analyzing three cases, summing up the social development experience. At last, exploring two major issues in the development of community tourism.
