In the deepening of financial reform and marketization of interest rate, commercial banks in the original three business plates- assets, liabilities and intermediate business is still a profound change. Which to balance plate and asset plate for traditional business of deposit and loan spreads gradually reduced, in the main source of profit for the interest income business model, spreads narrowed or macroeconomic fluctuations will directly to the business safety and profitability of Commercial Bank of our country produced very serious impact. As the third major business segment in the middle of the business has become an important way for the future of China’s commercial banks to obtain profits. In the process of the development of modern commercial banks, western developed country commercial bank middle business income accounted for the proportion of banks’ total operating income have generally reached40% to 50%, in J. P. Morgan Chase, Bank of America and UBS and other world-class banks,the intermediate business income accounted for%, or even higher. From the pre tax profits,capital strength and asset scale, rankings of China’s state-owned commercial banks has been ranked in the forefront of the world bank, but intermediate business income accounted for only about 20%, so it can be seen, the more prominent problem is big but not strong. For example, Bank of China has been a leader in the development of the intermediate business of Commercial Bank of our country, the intermediate business income accounted for than has been the highest level in the same industry. By the end of 2012, the four major state-owned banks intermediate business accounted for than just over 20%, but the intermediate business income of the Bank of China account for ratio has reached 29.81%. With the commercial banks to intermediate business growing attention and to strive for the development, in the face of its traditional business model, rigid monotonous profit mode are in urgent need of change of pressure, commercial banks must make the best use of the circumstances, changes in business philosophy, adjust the operating mechanism, optimize profit structure, analysis of factors for the development of the intermediate business of intermediary business development status and obstacles, to establish the effective development strategy has becomethe survival and development of Bank of China industry trend and inevitable requirement.This article uses the method, mainly is the quantitative analysis and the qualitative analysis unifies, takes the Chinese bank intermediary business development present situation,as well as the middle business development existence question as the analysis example. Based on the development of the intermediate business of the Bank of China to provide feasible strategy as the ultimate goal, through the introduction of induction intermediate business of the basic concepts and classification as a starting point, from intermediary business product structure and income analysis the operating status of the intermediary business of Bank of China, and by other commercial banks in western commercial banks, the domestic industry in a variety of distribution, income structure, profitability and other aspects of the comparison,summed up the problems existing in the development of the intermediary business of Bank of China. Using the PEST analysis method to analyze the intermediate business of the Bank of China in the macro political, economic and cultural environment, and combining with its own internal environmental advantages and disadvantages analysis, to tease out the development of the intermediate business of Bank of China in the strategic environment. On the basis of combining the Boston matrix BCG method analysis, proposed the intermediate business is the major business of differentiation, integration of comprehensive management of group and the development of high-end intermediate business product competition strategy, and put forward the strategic goal of future bank of China for the development of the intermediate business.
