Study On Scale Structure And Its Influencing Factors Of Urban System In Jiangsu Province

With the continuous development of urbanization,Jiangsu's economy and society have undergone rapid transformation,but at the same time,some problems have emerged,such as traffic congestion,environmental pollution,etc.These problems arise from the irrational structure of the urban system.The research of urban hierarchical structure is based on the concept of coordinated development of large,medium sized and small cities.By measuring the size distribution of cities and towns,the rationality of the hierarchical structure of urban system in the region is studied.Reasonable urban hierarchical structure is not only an important condition for promoting economic growth,but also an effective way to promote technological innovation.Therefore,it is necessary to study the distribution of the scale structure of Jiangsu's urban system.This paper first summarizes the relevant literature,then analyzes the current situation of the scale distribution of the urban system in Jiangsu Province,and thinks that the shortage of large cities and small towns is the main problem in Jiangsu Province,which can be improved by expanding urban size.Secondly,based on the general equilibrium model of Henderson urban system and the theoretical model of urban competitiveness,this paper empirically analyses the factors affecting the development of urban scale from the perspective of competitiveness,and makes an empirical test about the effect of urban competitiveness on urban scale.Conclusions are as follows:(1)Judging from the present situation of the size distribution of Jiangsu's urban system,the scales of Jiangsu's prefecture-level and county-level cities deviate from the Zipf rules.The embody is that the size distribution of the urban system is excessively even.High level sub cities are not prominent,cities with intermediate scale are relatively developed,and large cities and small towns are not well developed.(2)In the aspect of the constituent elements of competitiveness,the impacts of sanitation,communication infrastructure construction,government allocation of resources,industrialization,industrial structure and consumer market on urban scale are positive,but green coverage ratio has a negative impact on the scale of town.(3)The relationship between urban competitiveness index and town scale is positive N.At present,most of the county-cities in Jiangsu are in the stage where urban competitiveness has positive impact on urban scale.At the end of the paper,according to the conclusion of empirical analysis,this paper puts forward some measures.
