After decades of large-scale development, especially the strong development of the electric power and the economic situation recent years, the thermal power industry has made remarkable progress. With the emergence and application of new technology and materials, it makes the thermal power technology change rapidly. In addition, as the electric power market becomes saturated, the growth of new turbine product per year slowing down. At the same time, for old turbines that keep running ten years, its environmental indicators, technical performance and economic indicators have lagged far behind the current new power turbines. In order to gain a dominant position in the intense market competition, more and more electric companies chose to transform through-flow on the turbine, it creates the reconstruction market spreading out. DTC as China’s main production of thermal powers and the company which has achieved excellent results of the through-flow reconstruction market is facing this grim situation. How to overcome their own weaknesses and shortcomings, improve management level, reduce the period of transformation, ensure the project on schedule is the major problem which DTC is facing in reconstruction market.Based on planning, analysis and research schedule of XT flow-through reconstruction project. Aim at DTC’s own production, operational characteristics and problem and difficulties arise in control of through-flow reconstruction project schedule. Use of project management tools. Then proposes the program and measures based on DTC through-flow reconstruction project schedule control. Including establish the project management team, establish blank reserve program, reform program reserve, prepare and implement the project plan, control the critical path, advance plan for priorities and implement to major organization, establish emergency response mechanism projects, complete set of management tools and etc. Through the successful implementation of XT flow-through reconstruction project, DTC has established new management approaches and collected a lot of practice data, effectively improved DTC preparation advance for through-flow reconstruction project, coordinated the project with communication and cooperation between every process. Reducing the impact on the project quality issues and incidents on the project schedule, it compressed production cycle scarcely in every process, improved DTC management level of flow-through reconstruction project, also ensured the completion of flow-through reconstruction project in time and greatly enhanced DTC’s competitiveness in flow-through reconstruction project.
