Research On Low-Carbon Competitiveness Of Enterprises Evaluation Based On Low Carbon Activities In The Value Chain

In the face of increasingly severe carbon constraints, companies will assume greater responsibility for carbon as the main economic subject of market economy. The enterprises not suited to low-carbon development requirements will be eliminated from the market for the widespread of carbon trading market and Carbon constraint stepping into the practical phase. Therefore low carbon advantage will become a part of the enterprise ability, taking social responsibility positively and improving the low carbon competitiveness of enterprises can help achieve both-win of environmental benefits and economic benefits.In this paper, we consider that enterprises gain low-carbon competitiveness by taking low-carbon activities after studying the definitions of low carbon competitiveness. The stronger the enterprise’s low carbon competitiveness, the better performance of low-carbon activities. So the evaluation of low carbon competitiveness of enterprises can be carried out by evaluating the level of low carbon activity performance of enterprises as well as taking entrepreneurship capacities into account. We construct low-carbon activity value chain based on the theory of enterprise value chain and build the framework of the enterprise low carbon activities as the basic component of evaluation of low carbon competitiveness of enterprises after introducing the intrinsic link between the value activity and low carbon activity. We also provide unified standard reference for selecting indicators which embodies the level of low carbon activity performance of enterprise. Indicator systems of different industries are obtained by referring to the relevant literature or factorial analysis.According to the evaluation method of low carbon competitiveness in this paper, we select resource consumption type manufacturing enterprise as low carbon competitiveness evaluation objects and then describe the contents of value activities and low carbon activities of resource consumption type manufacturing enterprises. Constructing index system of low-carbon competitiveness evaluation of resource consumption type manufacturing enterprise referring to unified standard reference of enterprise low carbon activity performance. In the light of the actual situation we make some adjustments in the evaluation system and select four companies in the steel industry to do empirical comparative analysis. Under the guide of group decision-make theories, Using entropy method gets attribute impersonal weight and calculating the objective weight of decision maker statistics theory based on statistical theory. TOPSIS evaluation method is adopted to analyze and sort low carbon competitiveness of four enterprises. Finally, we puts forward relevant management recommendations of these enterprises.
