Sichuan is located in a important junction of the southwest, northwest and central regions in China which is the significant meeting point and the transportation corridors connecting south China, central China, southwest China, northwest China and Southeast Asia. Sichuan is also the important distribution center of various elements and commodities in west china especially in the southwest region. But as a typical inland province,Sichuan is not close to the sea and border. So it is far away from the east china and overseas market, which caused the development inadequate and the low development level in a long term. The development bottleneck in the transportation is very serious which shows the following three following respects. First, Sichuan is located at the edges and ends of national road network, which doesn’t meet the status of the western strong economic provinces. Second, the main road is not a major thoroughfare for personal use, which the function of service and radiation the world is weak. Third, the carrying capacity is insufficient so that it is difficult to adapt to the economic and social development needs. World economic history shows that the area far from the sea has the high transport and logistics costs, which is the difficult problem for the development of the inland areas. With China’s reform and opening advancing, Chinese economy and the world economy is highly associated. Carrying out the national and provincial strategies such as One Belt And One Road, the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, the development of the western region in China, the construction of an integrated transport hub in Western, construction of Sichuan modern transport system and the upper reaches of the Yangtze River comprehensive transportation corridor provides a rare historical opportunity for Sichuan enhancing export-oriented economy and international level and exerting the strategic hub function of the junction of the One Belt And One Road and the Yangtze River economic belt and servicing area and national economic development. This paper analysis the development Strategy of Sichuan international transport corridor and study the comprehensive transportation corridor interconnection with neighboring countries. From a strategic height of national and regional economies provide suggestions for the interconnection development layout and the strategic purpose of the Sichuan comprehensive transportation corridor with neighboring countries systematically. Combined with the geographical features of Sichuan, location advantages, economic and social development and the requirements of western economic development highlands and studied the relevant literature for comprehensive transportation corridor development systematically. And it also analyzed the total amount and structure of the current situation and long-term forecast of Sichuan’s foreign trade development, and the current development status of various modes of transport in Sichuan and the international transport corridor. Combined the affecting factors of Sichuan combined comprehensive transportation corridor and the prediction of the total passenger and freight transport in the comprehensive transportation. Proposed the volume prediction of the Sichuan comprehensive transportation channel. According to co-ordinate various modes of transport and the rational allocation of transportation resources principle, studied the building strategies of the Sichuan comprehensive transportation corridor interconnection with neighboring countries and proposed appropriate development strategies, building programs and specific measures.
