The Research Of Town Spatial Structure In Hebei Province Under The New Urbanization

Urbanization is the hot topics that people and government focus on constantly. Urbanization of China has harvested the significant achievements since the founding of new China. In 2011, urbanization rate of China has reached 51.27% of overall national population. It is the first time that urban population exceeded rural, which marks China has changed from an agricultural country into an industrial powers. However, a series of problems were encountered during the urbanization of China, including the imbalance of spatial distribution, irrational industrial structure and ecological destruction, and so on. The 18 th National Congress of Communist Party of China proposes the way of “new pattern urbanization” with intension、Intelligence、environment protecting and low-carbon development. Under the background of the new pattern urbanization, this manuscript proposes to optimize the urban spatial structure based on the problems that happed in the processes of urbanization in Hebei province. The optimizations of urban space structure, which will work to narrow the gap of grade, function and scale, is the essential component of urban system planning. Meanwhile, the optimizations mentioned in this study can drive the balanced development of town zones, which owns positive significance in solving the problems encountered in the processes of urbanization in Hebei province and in construction of new pattern urbanization.Under the background of the new type of urbanization, we provide two aims of optimization of urban spatial structure, including one dynamic aim and one static aim. Of these two aims, static aim is provided in order to archive the reasonable urban distribution in Hebei province. Dynamic aim is proposed in order to realize the balanced development of different hierarchical structure cities. Optimization of urban spatial structure is planning to perform by three steps: Firstly, the data of potential indexes of 143 towns in Hebei province are analysis by hierarchical clustering so that we could build the Urban hierarchies. Secondly, we perform the division of city group based on economic membership grade and the index of accessibility of central cities. The results of this analysis are visual by ArcGIS software. Thirdly,development axis of city group is confirmed based on the current traffic network in Hebei province. The first two parts are used to archive the static aim. Meanwhile, the last part is used to archive the dynamic aim. By implementing these two goals, we can provide theoretical reference for construction of new-type urbanization in hebei province.
